A gentle breeze picked up, stirring some leaves on the forest floor. For a split second, a small whirlwind of leaves started up, only to die as quickly as it begun. The breeze moved on, shifting through the Carthak Forest, sweeping past the gaint trees and low lying underbrush. Green was all around, while there were small patches of snow that hadn't quiet melted. There, standing on a tree that had fallen due to the heavy weight of the snow the winter before, was a long legged shewolf.
Her pelt was like that of newly fallen snow, blinding to look at in the sunlight in which she stood, yet beautiful enough to show her young age. Odd, piercing yellow/gold pupilless orbs gazed through the forest, while light blue markings stood out against her pelt. She was Yuki, daughter of Thorn, and future Alpha Female of the Wind Pack of Carthak Forest. And her reign was just about to start.
Lifting her front, right paw, Yuki slowly allowed her muzzle to lift to the heavens. As her head tipped back, a melodic sound escaped her ivory muzzle and fangs, spreading quickly through the surrounding area and slowly moving through the forest. Time had finally come for the young shewolf to take her rightful place as Alpha Female, and finally she was of age.
Ending her howl, she dropped her muzzle and bounded from the fallen tree, landing gracefully not far from it. Turning her head, she looked back at the fallen tree and said a silent prayer that her reign over the Carthak Forest didn't end like that. She was only two years old, just stepping out from under her father's paws, and into a big new world. Claiming the land was only the first step. The next would be gathering members to form a strong pack, one she would be proud of. Maybe even a mate, but not at the moment.
Shaking her head, and turning her gaze from the fallen tree, Yuki started off, ready to explore the land she had grown up on, yet at the same time, finding everything new once more. She was going to enjoy this.
